HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — Sign-ups are now being taken for the 41st Hilton Head Island St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which rolls at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 14, 2027.
The parade committee is inviting businesses, schools, nonprofits, civic clubs, neighborhood groups and individuals to put an entry in the lineup. Floats, decorated vehicles and marching units are all welcome, and the organizers’ own site adds boats, golf carts, bikes, horses and dogs to the list.
Every entry is judged for one of five awards, including the Grand Marshal Award for the best small business float and the Irish Heritage Award for the best float built around Irish roots.
Local businessman Tom Reilley started the parade with family and friends in 1983, and organizers say no St. Patrick’s parade in the state is older. In 2025 it won a statewide vote as the top festival in South Carolina, and watching costs nothing.
The Breeze Trolley helps with parking on parade day: riders board at USCB Hilton Head between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. for a one-way ride that lets them off close to Lowcountry Celebration Park.
Registration and sponsorship details are posted on the parade committee website.
