HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — Hilton Head Island voters who would rather not wait for Election Day can cast a ballot starting Monday, Oct. 19, when early voting for the statewide general election opens across South Carolina.
On the island, the early voting site is the University of South Carolina Beaufort campus at 1 Sand Shark Drive. Beaufort County has three more locations: the Bluffton Branch Library on Palmetto Way, the St. Helena Branch Library on St. Helena Island, and the main county elections office on John Galt Road in Beaufort.

Every site keeps the same schedule, opening at 8:30 a.m. and closing at 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The early voting window closes Saturday, Oct. 31.
A Beaufort County voter may use whichever of the four centers is most convenient, not just the one nearest home. Bring a photo ID, then vote on the same machines used at regular polling places on Election Day.
Election Day itself falls on Tuesday, Nov. 3, for voters who prefer to go to their assigned precinct.
