Hilton Head Island Volleyball Opens Playoffs at Myrtle Beach

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — Hilton Head Island girls volleyball will open the South Carolina High School League state playoffs away from home, drawing the No. 9 seed and a road match at No. 8 Myrtle Beach.
Girls playoff play across the state starts Oct. 21 under the brackets the league has finalized. A win in Myrtle Beach would send Hilton Head Island on to face top-seeded Lucy Beckham in the following round.

Elsewhere in that same bracket, the May River and West Florence winner moves on to play at No. 4 Dreher.
Every class will crown its champion at Dreher High School in Columbia, with the girls title matches set for Nov. 5 and 7.
Boys volleyball has its own postseason on a quicker calendar. Those playoffs begin Oct. 20, and the boys finals are Oct. 31 at Lexington High School.
