Hilton Head Island, S.C. — Lowcountry Indivisible and Okatie Indivisible will host Vote Early events Saturday, Oct. 17, in Bluffton and Hilton Head Island ahead of South Carolina’s early voting period.
The Hilton Head Island rally runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mathews Drive and U.S. 278, known as Parker’s Corner. In Bluffton, organizers gather at 4 p.m. at the Beaufort County government offices at 4819 Bluffton Parkway, then march at 5 p.m. toward the Bluffton Branch Library.
Organizers say the peaceful rallies aim to encourage Beaufort County residents to cast ballots before the Nov. 3 general election. The Bluffton Branch Library is one of four designated early voting locations in the county.
Statewide early voting runs Monday, Oct. 19, through Saturday, Oct. 31, with centers open 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and closed Sunday, Oct. 25, according to the South Carolina Election Commission. Registered voters may use any early voting center in their county with an accepted photo ID.
Beaufort County early voting sites listed by state and county officials include the Main County Voter Registration and Elections Office at 15 John Galt Road in Beaufort, the Bluffton Branch Library at 120 Palmetto Way, the USCB Hilton Head Island campus at 1 Sand Shark Drive, and the St. Helena Branch Library at 6355 Jonathan Francis Senior Drive.
