Bluffton High Breaks Ground on 23,870-Square-Foot CTE Building

Bluffton High School and the Beaufort County School District broke ground Friday on a new Career and Technical Education building designed to give students more hands-on workforce preparation.
The 23,870-square-foot facility is funded through the district’s 2023 bond referendum. Planned programs include building construction trades, public safety and firefighting, family and consumer sciences, Army JROTC, and artificial intelligence and advanced technologies.

Construction began in June, with a target opening in August 2027. The project adds dedicated space for pathways that connect classroom learning with technical and public-service careers.
The new building will expand the district’s technical education options for Bluffton students as construction continues.
