Excitement Builds in St. Helena Island for the 2nd Annual Fort Fremont Harvest Festival

If you’re in St. Helena Island, mark your calendars because the 2nd Annual Fort Fremont Harvest Festival is just around the corner! Set to take place on Sunday, November 3, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM, this delightful event promises a fun-filled afternoon for everyone in the family. The festival will be held at the Fort Fremont Preserve, located at 1124 Land’s End Road.

Step Back in Time to 1910

1910. The festival won’t just be about enjoying the beautiful South Carolina outdoors; it will also feature period games designed for kids and adults alike. To complete the atmosphere, you can expect to see people dressed in era-appropriate costumes who will be welcoming you at Edwardian Fort Fremont.

What Can You Expect?

A Little History About Fort Fremont

1898 during the Spanish-American War as a coastal defense for Port Royal Sound and Parris Island Naval Station. The 18-acre site is now a passive park owned by Beaufort County, showcasing a stunning mixed hardwood forest, picturesque walking trails, and remains of historic batteries. Plus, there’s a History Center that features a diorama and period artifacts, making it easy to explore the fort’s fascinating history.

Visiting the Preserve
