The sheriff’s office confirmed that one male victim was fatally shot while two others sustained injuries and were promptly transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. Initial reports indicated that the deceased male victim’s identity has not yet been released, as authorities are in the process of notifying next of kin. Meanwhile, those injured are said to be receiving care, though the extent of their injuries has not been disclosed.

Ronrico Lamont McCullough Jr., an 18-year-old male, has been identified as the primary suspect in connection with the shootings. Shortly after the incidents, he was apprehended in the Charlotte area with the assistance of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. Once in custody, McCullough was extradited back to South Carolina, where he faces multiple serious charges, including:

  • Murder
  • Two counts of attempted murder
  • Two counts of possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime
  • Two counts of discharging a firearm in an occupied dwelling
  • First-degree burglary
  • Armed robbery

McCullough is currently being held in custody and is awaiting a bond hearing. As the investigation continues, authorities have stated that additional charges could be filed based on the findings and developments of their inquiry.

In response to the shootings, deputies have temporarily closed Highway 21 between Old Winnsboro Road and Highway 200 to ensure public safety and facilitate the ongoing investigation.
