To finance the proposed budget, the local millage rate for secondary and rental properties will be adjusted from 121.8 to 126.1, causing a 3.5% increase. This tax increase would equate to an additional around $140 annually for secondary homeowners and less than $20 annually for car owners.
Primary residences remain exempt from school operations tax, ensuring that full-time residents are not financially impacted by this proposal.
