Hilton Head, S.C. — Hilton Head Island High School football hosts May River on Oct. 16 at 7:30 p.m. with a 6-1 overall record and a 2-0 region mark that ranks first in the MaxPreps region table.

MaxPreps lists the Seahawks next home region date against May River after a 14-0 win at Lucy Beckham on Oct. 3 and a South Carolina ranking of 25th this week.

High School On SI has Hilton Head Island at No. 15 statewide at 6-1 after a bye last week, with May River listed as this week opponent following the idle date.

The Seahawks are 4-0 on the road this season per SI notes and enter the May River homecoming stretch still chasing a top-tier Class 4A media-poll profile after climbing the statewide board.

Colleton County follows on Oct. 23 on the MaxPreps glance, so the May River game is the immediate region checkpoint for the 2-0 Seahawks.
