Advance ticket sales have opened for the 2026 South Carolina State Fair, giving shoppers a chance to save significantly on admission and rides before the annual event returns to Columbia this fall. The fair is scheduled to run October 15 through October 25, with advance-priced tickets available only through October 14.

Fairgoers who buy early can save up to half off what they would pay at the gate. Admission purchased in advance costs ten dollars at participating Circle K locations or eleven dollars through the fair’s official website, compared with fifteen to twenty dollars once the fair opens. The gap is even larger for ride access, where advance vouchers run thirty-two to thirty-three dollars against a gate price of forty to forty-two dollars.

Those ride vouchers can be redeemed two ways once fairgoers arrive. Guests can trade a voucher for a one-day, unlimited-ride wristband, or opt for a reloadable ride card loaded with ninety tickets that can be shared among family members, used across multiple visit days, or even saved for the following year if any tickets remain unused.

The fair’s general manager has urged residents not to wait, noting that early purchases historically sell out popular discount tiers before the fair’s opening weekend. Advance tickets are sold both online and through the retail partnership with Circle K convenience stores, giving shoppers two straightforward purchasing options.

Beyond ticket sales, fair organizers are also highlighting a scholarship program tied to the event. Students previously selected for the fair’s academic scholarship program will be recognized during a dedicated day at this year’s fair, continuing a tradition that ties the state’s largest annual fair to local education recognition.

The South Carolina State Fair remains one of the state’s largest annual gatherings, drawing visitors from across the Midlands and beyond for its rides, food vendors, livestock competitions, and entertainment lineup. Organizers say the advance-ticket window is designed to spread out attendance and ease opening-weekend crowding at fairground gates.
